We are a friendly group who realise how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful area so abundant in wildlife. We meet once a month at a pre-arranged venue to explore the many and varied habitats of West Wales.
From seashores to river banks, marshes and meadows, copses and ancient woodlands, cliff tops and crags, heathland and hills, waterfalls and bogs, and *anything in between.
*We cannot guarantee accessibility but we all help each other as best we can.
We amble along with eyes, ears and minds wide open as we marvel at the flora and fauna around us and try to identify what we find. Most of our adventures are within the local area but occasionally we go further afield – including Tregaron Bog and Skomer Island. Or take a boat trip along the Teifi Estuary.
Mostly we share our knowledge and learn from each other but sometimes we meet up with an expert guide. After our wildlife encounters we retreat to a good pub or café for a sociable chat, discuss what we have seen, and agree where to go next time.
New members are always welcome. No previous experience necessary – just come and join this sociable and fun group!
We meet on the 2nd Monday each month at 10:30 am.
