Tuesday Walkers

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Please read Health and Safety on U3A Walks

We are a keen walking group and meet every week on Tuesday morning. Our walks are typically 4 to 6 miles and take around two and a half hours, depending on the terrain etc. – usually ending up in a pub. We’re a very friendly lot and the walks are social occasions as well as exercise.

There are generally about 15 of us on each walk. Dogs are welcome provided they are well behaved, and always under the effective control of their owner.

Walks organised by U3A groups automatically have public liability
insurance cover, provided the walkers are U3A members. However, this is
not a personal accident insurance and all members must be aware
they walk at their own risk.

The person responsible for their safety and happiness on a walk is the individual.
Members are requested to walk behind the leader and to stay with the
group at all times.

To comply with the law, all dogs should be microchipped and wear a collar with identity tag. Dogs themselves are not covered by u3a Public Liability Insurance (so any damage they may cause is the Owner’s responsibility.) Owners are advised to ensure their dogs have adequate insurance. Poo bags are required to clear up after our dogs!

If you would like further information and details of planned Tuesday walks, please see our Walk List here      or email us here.

Note from Roy:

Den and Do have informed me that the  TrawsCymru T5 bus time table has recently been changed.

The impact of this on the subject walk is that the bus we will be taking from New Quay to Aberaeron now leaves New Quay Church Road at 09:43am (9 minutes earlier than the time on the walk programme).

Those of you who aim to catch this bus from Cardigan will be looking at the 08:45am from Finch Square and 08:49am from Tesco.   It will be leaving Brynhoffnant at 09:23am.

All walks start at 10.00am unless otherwise stated
